92 years ago Leslie Winter Reid started a tradition of excellence that has grown grander than he could have ever imagined. From humble beginnings, his garments now span the entire country, and generations of family. And it’s evolving every year.
In 1918, 24 year old Leslie Winter Reid returned from the war, and planned to start his own business. Four years (and a lot of travelling) later, LW Reid was born. Originally conceived as a distributor of major Australian brands, the company expanded over time to become a well respected manufacturer of Corporate, Sports and Children’s Apparel and Accessories.
The mission statement, however, has remained constant; to outfit Australians with quality garments. 92 years later, the name of LW Reid has become synonymous with quality Schoolwear. Students from thousands of schools across the country venture out each day looking their best in an LWR uniform, and they might not even know it. But their schools do. And their parents do too. LWR is renowned for an extensive school uniform range, spanning from the classroom to the sports fields.
